FATRO Historical Founding Laboratory 1947

We have been working in veterinary medicine since 1947

FATRO was founded in Forlì (Italy) in 1947 by Gualtiero Zaini (pharmacist and veterinarian) and his son Corrado (chemist) in a small veterinary pharmaceutical laboratory saved from the war.

After initially developing specialized veterinary specialties, in 1960 the first major industrial facility was built in Ozzano dell'Emilia (Bologna), which continues to serve as the global scientific headquarters of the Group.

FATRO remains an independent industrial group dedicated exclusively to animal health research and production. With over 700 pharmaceutical specialties developed exclusively for veterinary medicine, the group exports to more than 90 countries worldwide.

In Pakistan, through an exclusive partnership with Prix Pharmceutica, FATRO brings decades of Italian veterinary research and European GMP production standards to empower livestock veterinarians and farmers nationwide.
