Composition & Active Ingredients
One glass vial contains Ceftiofur sodium equivalent to 4 g Ceftiofur base. Accompanied by one 80-ml vial of sterile solvent for reconstitution. Reconstituted concentration: 50 mg/ml ceftiofur.
Clinical Indications
Treatment of bovine respiratory disease (shipping fever, pneumonia) associated with Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, and Histophilus somni; acute bovine interdigital necrobacillosis (foot rot); acute post-partum metritis; equine respiratory infections.
Administration & Dosage
Cattle: 1 to 2.2 mg ceftiofur/kg bodyweight (1 to 2.2 ml of reconstituted solution per 50 kg bodyweight) once daily for 3 to 5 consecutive days. Refer to product insert.
Storage & Stability
Before reconstitution store below 25°C protected from light. After reconstitution with 80 ml solvent, store between +2°C and +8°C and use within 7 days.
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or beta-lactam antibiotics.
